This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of Cicini’s services and platform. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy.
Permitted Uses
- Managing medical appointments and patient scheduling
- Storing and managing patient information in compliance with applicable healthcare regulations
- Processing payments for medical services
- Communicating with patients about appointments and care
- Generating reports and analytics for practice management
Prohibited Uses
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations
- Transmitting malicious code or engaging in hacking activities
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Using the service for illegal or unauthorized purposes
- Violating patient privacy or healthcare data protection requirements
- Spamming or sending unsolicited communications
- Using Stripe Connect / client payments for businesses or products prohibited or restricted by Stripe or card networks
- Placing protected health information (PHI) or unnecessary clinical detail in payment descriptors, Stripe metadata, SMS, or email bodies
Client Payments (Stripe Connect)
Organizations that enable online client payments must also comply with the Client Payments / Stripe Connect section of the Terms of Service, including KYC/identity verification with Stripe, chargeback responsibility, and indemnification of Cicini for seller losses where permitted by law.
Compliance Requirements
Users must comply with all applicable healthcare regulations, including but not limited to:
- HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
- PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act)
- Provincial privacy laws in Canada
- Other applicable healthcare data protection laws
Violations
Violations of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, and we reserve the right to take appropriate legal action.
